Summer Adventure #2 – Sun Valley, and Boise, Idaho

Our second adventure this summer really was an adventure. The Hanson Family SUN VALLEY SUCKS TRIP! It started with a 5+ hour drive to Sun Valley, Idaho, where we arrived and were informed that the condo we had rented, well, it wasn’t really rented. LONG SAD STORY. My amazing in-laws had called this company and reserved two condo units that would sleep our whole family (16 of us.) At least they had the paperwork to prove they did. Turns out the company they called went bankrupt in December and was still booking reservations and taking peoples money in January. TOTAL SCAM. Since we had no condos, we ended up booking a few hotel rooms for all 13 of us. The good thing about all of this is that my brother-in-law Chad and his family live in Eagle, Idaho. It is just outside of Boise and a some of us (Derrek, Anna, Devin, Jake, Grace, and Me) had never been there to visit. So, we spent Thursday night in Sun Valley, Spent most of Friday at Sun Valley Resort doing various activities, flying kites, playing frisbee, feeding swans, ice skating… then around 4 pm we hoped back in our cars and drove the 3 hours to Eagle. This was a trip with lots of time spent in the car. But we had fun just the same! I don’t have too many pictures from Eagle, but we had a blast. We missed you Derrek, Laurie, and Anna! We stayed up late playing SPOONS. Only one injury. Karen totally took a chunk out of Ian’s finger with her ring. We also had a great waterfight! Rocky, I think you have finally met your match. Swam in the pool, and rafted down the Boise river. It was great fun!
